It was short lived, but high impact. The Blitz kids era made an unforgettable stamp on fashion history due to their heady days of experimental and truly original fashion. During their reign in 1979-80 their style was unreachable to some but some how made a lasting influence on fashion to this day. Post punk, the underground and forward thinking sexuality they flaunted (now known as The New Romantics) made it into popular culture and since then there has been no looking back.
Since being a major player in this scene, Princess Julia, has carried on this attitude for freedom of style and has continued to influence a more experimental vision of what personal style should be about.
“I don’t care if people say it’s a DIRTY word.
Because I think FASHION and style, those two things, are intrinsically linked.”
