SELF PORTRAITS. EXHIBITION + PHOTO BOOK. 10 - 13 DEC 2026

Launch: Thurs 10 Dec 7-9pm. Open daily: Fri 11- Sun 13.

After a global call for self portraits, Matt Ford Studio is proud to present the best of the submissions, plus some specially selected works.

The exhibition, at Matt Ford Studio (a small artist ran gallery in Hackney Downs Studios, London), shares personal stories about communities and cultures. It explores identity, family, love, creativity, anxiety and death through photographic self portraits. Nothing is off topic in these beautiful, visually exciting and often moving portraits.

You’ll see work from the Self Portraits prize winners and many renowned self portrait photographers, alongside up-and-coming talent from the next generation.

To go with the exhibition, we’re launching a brand new book with an extended selection of work. Ticket holders get 20% off the book (limited first edition of 250 copies) during exhibition opening times.

As a independent artist ran gallery we are charging a small fee of £3 to visit the space to help cover are admin and costs.

We look forward to seeing you at the space.

Works shown by Marianela Muñiz, Jerremy Denis, Bo Quinn, Katie Eleano AND Robert Rausch.
